Rob Dinsmoor is a freelance writer and yoga teacher. He has published hundreds of articles on health and medicine, humorous pieces in Games, Paper, National Lampoon, and Nickelodeon Magazine, and short stories in Lowestoft Chronicle and Bewildering Stories. He has also had dozens of scripts aired on Nickelodeon and MTV.
While in New York in the 1980s, he wrote over 50 scripts for the popular and edgy comedy troupe, Chucklehead, which laid the groundwork for his fictive memoir, Tales of the Troupe. He has published two other fictive memoirs, The Yoga Divas and Other Stories and You Can Leave Anytime, and co-authored a children’s picture book called Does Dixie Like Me? He has published over a half dozen short stories, and his story “Kundalini Yoga at the Arkham YMCA,” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. He lives on the North Shore of Massachusetts with his rescued dog Jack, a fellow native of Indiana, and spends as much time as he can outdoors, hiking, biking, and kayaking.
