Meet Angela Acosta

Angela Acosta is an emerging poet and scholar with a passion for the distant future and possible now who currently lives in Columbus, Ohio. 

She won the 2015 Rhina P. Espaillat Award from West Chester University for her Spanish poem “El espejo”. Her poetry has appeared in MacroMicroCosmThe Blue MothPanochazine, and Eye to the Telescope and will soon appear in On Spec and Penumbric. Her creative nonfiction has been published in Flying Island Literary Journal and her flash fiction has been featured on 50-Word Stories. 

Angela is working towards publishing her first collection of science fiction poetry while completing her Ph.D. in Iberian Studies at The Ohio State University, and has B.A. degrees in English and Spanish from Smith College, and an M.A. in Spanish from The Ohio State University.
