Vince Gotera serves as Editor at the North American Review and also professor of English at the University of Northern Iowa.
His poetry collections include Dragonfly, Ghost Wars (which won the 2004 Global Filipino Award in Poetry), Fighting Kite, and the upcoming Pacific Crossing. Recent poems have appeared in The American Journal of Poetry, Star*Line, and Poetry Witch Magazine. Two poems in The Syzygy Poetry Journal were nominated for 2016 Rhysling Awards, both short form and long form. His sonnet “What Matters” won first in the rhyming poetry category of the 2015 Writer’s Digest writing competition. He blogs at The Man with the Blue Guitar. Starting with the October, 2018, issue he will be the editor of Star*Line.
Vince’s favorite color is blue, in all its sensual and mystical hues and flavors: aquamarine, electric, morning glory, robin’s egg, royal, sky, teal.
