Snow Monster from Uranus Part 14 by Celine Mariotti

When Will We Get the Monster?

Everyone kept wondering and worrying when the authorities were going to capture this snow monster from Uranus who was causing so much destruction and so much trouble. No one ever knew when or where he might appear in our Universe and what he might do. Officer Peter Carillo was on the telephone with the FBI Agent, Dexter Sullivan. They were of course discussing Jezi, the snow monster from Uranus.

“There has to be some way of capturing him. Though it seems no matter what weapons we use or what strategies we use to get him, he manages to pull a fast one and disappear,” said Officer Pete Carillo.

“Hey, that might be it! If we can find a way to outfox him and promise him all those minerals and chemicals he says he needs, maybe we can find a way to knock him out and put him in a cell. Once we can get a doctor to administer that drug, syllovan, we can put him to sleep for a couple of days and he’ll be under our control,” said Dexter.

“Great idea, Dexter! I think we should all have a meeting and discuss our tactics on this one. I’ll talk to the Chief and we’ll get back to you,” suggested Officer Carillo.

“Meanwhile, I’ll discuss this with the other FBI agents and Samuel Kapinsky, the head of National Security.”

“Good idea.”

“Talk to you soon.”

Officer Peter Carillo went to speak to Captain Santini and Officer John Dobson. They needed to discuss what FBI agent, Dexter Sullivan had proposed. Officer Carillo believed it would work.

“Captain Santini, we need to speak. John, good to see you. You need to be part of this discussion.”

“This is about the alien, Jezi?” inquired Captain Santini.

“Yes, yes, it is. I was on the phone with the FBI Agent, Dexter Sullivan trying to figure out how we can finally get Jezi. He came up with an idea to lead Jezi to the minerals and chemicals he needs, then knock him out, administer that drug syllovan, which will make him sleep for a couple of days. Then we can finally send him back to Uranus,” explained Officer Carillo.

“Okay, but how do we lead him to all these minerals and chemicals he needs. I’m not a chemist. Neither are any of my policemen and policewomen. We’d have to contact scientists, retailers, industries, doctors, etc. That will take time and money to do. So, I say it’s a bad idea unless the president and Congress wanted to give us the money. I doubt that will happen. And knocking him out won’t work either. We’ve tried several ways of overtaking him and they’ve all failed,” said Captain Santini.

“I totally agree. It won’t work,” said Officer Dobson.

Officer Carillo nodded. “Yeah, you’re right. I should have thought of that. I’ll call Agent Sullivan.”

Meanwhile, in his cave in the woods in Maine, Jezi took out his weather machine and instructed it to bring a major blizzard to the whole northeast. He demanded 15 inches of snow. Then shut it off. An hour later, the blizzard began. The temperature dropped to 5 degrees, the gusts of wind were 40 mph. Jezi ate his dinner and relaxed in the cave. He had to figure out his next move to get the minerals and chemicals he needed.  Now, he just wanted to be mean.
