That Dark Corner by Fariel Shafee

Is darkness filled with
Hungry little
Teeth?
I am floating
In the darkest space. The
Signals have all
Shifted red to
Obscurity.

How I craved to touch
The infinite!

Is that what I’m scared
Of now?
The endless well that reaches out to
Grab?
The void where all
The stars die?

Where the
Heartbeats stop with
Light, and where the eternal
Night
Smiles silently,
Teases you, and
Then muffles your thoughts
That cease to
Matter. Then
No one finds you
Ever?
