Snow Monster from Uranus Part 7 by Celine Rose Mariotti

“I can’t believe this! Damn that alien! Where in blazing names did he go? What are we to do? Come on, Dick, you’re the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Get the Army, the Navy, the Marines, the Air Force, the Coast Guard— Hey, hell, call out the Merchant Marine, too. I want that confounded alien from Uranus! Do you hear me, Dick?” yelled President Konstantin Antonopoulos.

“Watch your blood pressure! I have to call a meeting of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  We’ll discuss our strategy to apprehend this cagey alien. He seems to have supernatural powers. I mean, he just disappears into thin air, or he shrinks people. The creature is like something from Star Wars!” yelled General Richard Martin Neumann.

“You can say that again, Dick. I’ve got a State Dinner tonight for the Canadian Prime Minister Vincent Manicotti. Vince has promised to help us find the alien,” said the President, pacing back and forth, practically wearing out the rug in the Oval Office.

“We can use all the help we can get finding this confounded alien. Not to mention the demands he’s making. What do we do if his army from Uranus attacks us? We’ll be in the middle of a Star Wars movie, an intergalactic war! Do you know what that means, Konstantin? Do you know what we will be up against? We’ll need all our laser and atomic weaponry, our drones, our missiles, to fight these aliens,” said General Richard Martin Neumann.

“Yes, yes, Dick, I’ve been thinking about what we’ll face. And what this will cost us in human lives, in property damage, loss of plant and animal life, and financial costs. If anybody ever imagined the future like they are in all those big Hollywood Space War movies, here it is! I’ve got to take some aspirin. My head is about to explode,” lamented the President.

“Ohh, there goes my bing phone. It’s the Secretary of State—Mario. Let me take his call Mr. President.”

“Sure thing. Take his call. I have to answer some e-mails from the members of Congress. They’re another bunch of space aliens!”

Officer Pete Carillo and Officer John Dobson were going back out in the woods to search for any sign of the alien from Uranus. They knew he was like a supernatural being, very elusive and spooky and full of tricks and treachery. Two other officers came with them. Frank was sending more additional units. The other two policemen who just arrived were Officer Tracy Gabman and Officer Ethan Mathison. They all carried a big flashlight, a Glock 17, a Taser, and a Walkie-Talkie on their belt as well as a bing phone. They had their rifles, too. They trudged through the thick snow, their boots leaving imprints as they walked.

Up ahead, they spotted the two odd alien spaceships with lights circling all along the top part of it. They approached quietly and slowly. Officer Carillo shined his flashlight inside the open hatch of the spaceship. There, they saw Jezi and two smaller aliens sitting beside him. The officers checked out the other odd alien spaceship and saw two big robots in there and another unusual-looking creature—possibly animal life on Uranus.

“We have to be smart about this,” Pete said. “He has all sorts of superpowers and the four of us might get shrunk by him or he could make us disappear. We have to go back and wait for more units to come.

“I think that’s a sensible idea,” said Officer Tracy Gabman.

“Come on, let’s go. I’m freezing,” said Officer John Dobson.

“I’ve got the creeps,” added Officer Ethan Mathison.

“This is like Star Trek!” exclaimed Tracy.

“Yeah, Star Trek,” agreed Ethan.

They made it back to their squad cars and Peter and his fellow officers saw more units arriving and the S.W.A.T. team was there, too. The police captain pulled up, too. Captain Armand Santini got out of the squad car.

“We’ve got a lot of backups here, and we have the S.W.A.T. team and the National Guard and the FBI to surround and apprehend this alien named Jezi. We are receiving advice from NASA on how to deal with him. Okay, now that everyone is here, let’s go over our plan to get this dangerous alien,” announced the captain.

At Paul Revere Hospital, Louie Carillo was coming to, and he looked around, wondering where he was. He kept seeing the face of Jezi the Snow Monster from Uranus and he screamed.

Back in Washington, D.C., President Konstantin Antonopolous prepared for the state dinner for Prime Minister Vincent Manicotti. It would be a night no one would forget…
