The Appearance of the Hand by Marco Herrigan

From out of the mouth of a bag, the hand appears
To mirrors staring at its features from both sides
As the emerging path in front of it slowly clears
To make way for a throne where power abides.

The taps from each finger swiftly strike the
floor Before the hand ascends the stairs to its
throne. As it takes a scepter, it is ready to
restore
A form of justice that is now unknown.

The fingers of the hand expand and then stretch out
In preparation for its anger to pulsate
Through a multitude of veins that are ready to
clout A host of enemies with a never ending fate.
