From out of the depths of nowhere, a sound is
heard By a guardian who is not aware of what
occurred In a time of darkness when justice has
been laid out For a mind ignorant of what
vengeance is about.
As obstinacy regarding what is wrong or right
Extends its wings over the expanding terrain
Of a mind consigned to being asleep on a night
When all are silent, Wisdom is forgotten as vain.
The guardian closes his eyes as his will is retarded
By a form of tiredness where all duties are discarded.
A hand sees its surroundings without a pair of eyes
As it beholds its foe and his impending demise.
Five fingers move faster than any human stride
As the hand reaches its target without needing a guide.
The seconds it takes to squeeze every trace of air
Out of a balloon that has fallen in fear to the ground
Is all the time that the hand needs in order to ensnare
The throat of its prey in an orgy of pains most profound.
As the guardian wakes up, he feels the tightness of a choke
Consumed with anger that no mortal power can revoke.
